  • This is a global leadership role with key stakeholders located in Belgium, Zurich, Poland, India, Mexico, and other locations of our global footprint, and might require up to 25% travel.

 

Scope:

The client is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader for the crucial role of Director Security Operations (SecOps). This key position is a cornerstone of our digital transformation journey and reports directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).

 

As the Director of SecOps, you will be at the forefront of shaping and evolving our SecOps capabilities. This role encompasses a wide array of responsibilities, including incident response in collaboration with strategic suppliers, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and breach simulations. You will ensure that our organization is continuously conducting security testing and prepared to respond to security incidents.

The candidate will:

  • Assume a pivotal leadership role in driving BC's digitization efforts, focusing on our Security Operations, tools, procedures, and policies
  • Lead, mentor and inspire the SecOps team, including Security Engineers, in evaluating and prioritizing security operations across BC, while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and diversity
  • Develop and lead the strategic vision for the next generations Security Operations Center (SOC) services, aligning with organizational goals
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the security operations center (SOC), ensuring effective threat detection, vulnerability management, incident response, and continuous monitoring
  • Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards to protect company assets and data
  • Conduct regular security assessments, penetration tests, and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • As overall responsible for the global cyber incident response plan, ensure rapid and effective response to security incidents and coordinate, and lead investigations of security breaches, working with internal teams and external partners as necessary
  • Stay updated on emerging digital risks, regulatory changes, and industry trends to proactively address potential threats
  • Collaborate with other digital teams (e.g. application management, technology services) to ensure a secure IT landscape

 

Skills:

  • Graduate degree in IT/technology, information technology, computer science, network technology, engineering, or a comparable field
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience including managing multi-cultural, dispersed Information Security teams and overseeing security operations
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, MITRE, CIS)
  • In-depth knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly desirable
  • Proficient in English
  • Proven experience with SIEM systems, incident response, threat management, vulnerability management, red/purple teaming and breach simulation exercise, forensics and security monitoring
  • Experience in the consumer goods industry is a plus
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to security operations and experience in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and conducting security audits
  • The ability to bring people together and mobilize individuals to pursue a joint agenda
  • Ability to drive change in a collaborative way on a global scale

  • Skills to create internal and external partnerships/networks across the organization
